Travis Scott redefined the word rage! Two nights back-to-back, sold out, trashed out and rocked out! La Flame did not come to play games with New York City. From the opening with the immediate surge to fame, global name, Sheck Wes a.k.a Sheck Jesus, fans got more than a treat at Astroworld- they got a whole meal! Just like the heavily anticipated album, the show lived up to its demand.
It’s litt!
Starting the show with flames and pyro, Travis came out on a level 9000! I felt bad for the barricades as the ragers mashed up against it, roaring word for word. He was going upside down on his ride, swinging hair there and sweat over there. The crowd was fully pumped at its highest but Travis broke that border when he began to part the crowd like the Red Sea. Once the beat dropped, each side charged at each other like a scene out of 300. Just when you thought it couldn’t surpass this extremity… Travis went to other stage and SHUT. IT. DOWN!
He had fans in their emotions as they cheered his name when he stopped to appreciate and recognize the journey he went through to get to where he is. Reminding them how much he loves them from the bottom of his heart…
… then it was back to raging.
“F*ck the club up!”
A pyro show went off for every iconic “b*tch” ad-lib Check Wes said. The ragers were back at it to crashing and smashing into each other. The butterfly effect was in fact effective. The crowd split again as he got on his next ride with a fan (because Travis loves the fans) and soared through like the icon he is.
Astroworld was the carnival it was meant to be. Travis delivered the best damn show of the year. I can’t imagine what’s to come after this.
Straight up!
Everything after this point was shot on my iPhone 7.
